CLAIMS MANAGEMENT

HOW IT WORKS

All property claims are handled by Sedgwick loss adjusters.

Primary contact for all property claims:
Wendy Churchyard | Senior Account Handler
Sedgwick International UK
Sentinel,
103 Waterloo Street, Glasgow, G2 7BW
PHONE 0345 601 1207 | EMAIL reu2@uk.sedgwick.com

Megan Miller and Claire McNamee also work on this account and can be contacted on 0345 601 1207

Alternatively claims can be reported by telephoning Wendy Churchman. When reporting a new claim/loss please ensure you have the following:

Full property address – Including the postcode
Policy number (this can be obtained from the Managing Agent)
Details of the cause and the area of damage

Out of hours: 0345 601 4283 – Sedgwick 24/7 Claims Helpline. This is a free of charge service which provides claim support out of hours. Please only use this to report claims of an urgent nature and to seek emergency advice. Please do not use it to progress existing claims and general claims queries.

Useful information:

Emergency works – We would recommend you carry out any works required to mitigate/minimise the damage sustained. Any items removed should be retained in the event a loss adjuster visit is required and photos should be taken prior to any emergency works taking place.

The full reinstatement works should not commence until you have received authorisation.

Quotes/Repair estimates – You will be asked to provide two estimates for the required reinstatement works, these should itemise all the works required and provide the dimensions for both the affected area, and the area of reinstatement.

Leak repair invoices – It is not essential for these to be provided however you will need to ensure the exact cause and origin of the leak has been identified and that this has been repaired. It is advised that you retain a copy of the leak repair invoice for your own records in the event the leak occurs again.
