Meet The Team

James is the Head of Insurance Distribution and Market Engagement for Alexander Bonhill. He has over 20 years of experience in the UK Insurance market, specialising in the Real Estate sector. James is responsible for the placement strategy, market relationships and the management of our insurance portfolios. James enjoys spending time with his young family, football, fitness, travelling and food.

Margaret has worked in the compliance industry for over 10 years, having graduated with a Law Degree, and going on to complete her LPC. She joined Alexander Bonhill in 2022 as the Compliance Manager and has since become the Head of Compliance, overseeing all FCA regulatory matters. She enjoys travelling, reading and long walks.

Kirsty started working in the insurance industry in 2006. Prior to joining Alexander Bonhill, she was an underwriter in the property owners area for both an insurer and a managing general agent. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, cooking, live music and arts and crafts.

George began his career at Clear Insurance Management, where he had the fortunate position of working across the Group, during an apprenticeship which allowed him to work across broking and claims divisions and obtain a good understanding of how insurance brokering works. This holistic overview has provided a valuable grounding to now know what clients need and how to manage their risk. During this time, he also achieved his Cert CII.

Outside of work he is also a PADI qualified scuba diver, a keen footballer and a ‘reluctant’ golfer – but not at the same time!

Faye has worked in the insurance sector for over a decade; beginning her career at an insurance company, and then moving to the brokerage side of the industry, where she worked for a boutique brokerage for seven years. Together they gave her an invaluable, holistic insight into how the industry works. Faye joined Alexander Bonhill in August 2020, and has put her Chartered Insurance Institute – Certificate in Insurance to good use as an account executive in our property division. When not helping clients, she enjoys good food, the gym and socialising with friends and family.

After graduating in History and Politics from the University of Winchester in 2014, Edward began his career at an independent broker in 2020 where he gained a general grounding in insurance. He now joins Alexander Bonhill with over three years’ experience in the industry. He has also achieved his IF1 and is working towards completing his Cert CII soon.

Away from his work, Edward is an avid reader and gamer, and has recently taken up rifle shooting. He is also seasoned traveller and loves nothing more than setting off to sunnier climes.

Before her career in insurance, Emma was a qualified gymnast and worked for one of the largest gymnastic academies. During her time there she worked in a management position, overseeing and tutoring classes of 40+ children. The skills learnt during this time make her an obvious choice to join our Property team.

She still enjoys the merits of fitness and goes to the gym when she has a spare moment, although you can also find her with her friends at a brunch or sipping something lovely at a riverside pub.
